Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is used to measure retinal thickness and the presence of membranes and fluid within and beneath the retina in complicated cases. It is useful for following the response to treatment after an intravitreal injection and in determining the possible need for more advanced treatments, such as vitrectomy surgery. The test is non-invasive and safe requiring only a few seconds to perform by one of our well-trained experts.
