Dr. Douglas Katz

Dr. Douglas Katz graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors from Indiana University earning a B.S. in Biology. He went on to complete his M.D. at the University of Michigan Medical School. He stayed at the University of Michigan's Kellogg Eye Center to complete his Residency training in Ophthalmology. From there he completed a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the University of Minnesota.

He began practicing in Lexington Kentucky in 1999 and has been full time at the University of Kentucky since 2000. He has published research articles, textbook chapters, and lectured locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.

He is interested in all aspects of corneal problems but has particular interests in corneal transplantation and Herpetic and other infectious corneal disease. He is available for consultation in Lexington, London, and Somerset.
